My successful career in the automotive and tyre industry is rooted in creating and maintaining robust business relationships. I hold a unique combination of practical engineering skills, commercial industry sales experience and in-depth specialist knowledge; this allows me to converse on equal terms with diverse people from all aspects of a business.
I have innate sales, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, matched with values, ethics and integrity. With over 12 years’ experience within the automotive retail industry and over 30 years in the business to business (B2B) corporate aftermarket, my skills and experience include: senior management at directorship level, leadership and personnel recruitment and training, key account and sales management.
My Training & Qualifications
In the UK, I completed diverse and practical tertiary qualifications in vehicle engineering and maintenance. In retail, I also completed Ford Marketing Institute courses. I joined Michelin Tyres in 1998 and later was promoted to Company Training Instructor before becoming Key Account Manager in B2B Partnership Programmes.
My Inter/national Experience
I have travelled extensively, worldwide and delivered presentations, research and training sessions at events in the UK, USA, Canada and Europe. In 2013, I was relocated from England to New Zealand to take on the role as National Sales Manager, Training and Technical Manager and later a Group Director and Board Member at Tyreline Ltd, the NZ Michelin retailer and distributor.
My Facilitator Role
My in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety and other legislation such as employment law, allows your business to benefit from raised awareness of simple, effective ways to mitigate everyday risks associated with tyre and vehicle safety. Staff have fun engaging with my interactive sessions, gaining insights into basic vehicle and tyre safety that makes a difference and ultimately, saves lives.
